My training in metaphysical counseling began early on as a young monk and minister. I sat in on hundreds of sessions between our abbot—Father Subramuniya—and students, members or visitors who need counseling and guidance: often facing enormous problems and challenges in life. After each session the Father would ask me my insights, see if I could see their auras and point out why he gave different levels of advice to different people.

Eventually, I began counseling people on my own, or in the company of another monk, and reporting back to Father Subramuniya the flow of the conversation and what was advised and what the followup would be. Often we would write extensive reports and essays that would go into our records to help others facing similar types of occurrences. For many years I was a senior advisor to students, members and the public, in many different countries reflecting several disparate cultures.

Metaphysical counseling is really the deepest type of guidance available. It absorbs the whole person—their soul self, mental and astral self, and physical self and environments—into the process of reflection, understanding and arriving at the best pattern or approach for the circumstances.

It includes deep psychology in the nature of the subconscious and layers of the subconscious that are often completely hidden but powerfully contribute to behavior and reaction, and the more intuitive levels of the inner mind that are always there but need a clear subconscious and consistent practice to bring forth.

Metaphysical guidance includes evaluating the aura and spiritual energies and qualities of the individual, seeing the astral environment that surrounds them and seeing if there are any astral beings or people involved with their pattern that may be inhibiting or blessing.

It involves discussing past life phenomenon in the context of present life and immediate need conditions.

Such guidance brings in the discussion of appropriate ceremony and prayer methods for conditions of your life that may close unwanted doors and open desired doors in the causal and astral universe. Suggestions may be made on the type of jewelry to wear and seasonal or lunar times to embark on change.
