My teaching of diet gently takes you from where you are, no matter what kind of diet you're presently engaged in. For many years among my teaching and writing duties inside the monasteries I was the head chef for monastery or retreat populations of 5 to 100. Our motto was to create meals so good for the young monks that they would feel immediately at home and well-cared for.

In addition to diet, I offer other modes of healing that draw upon metaphysics and psychic energy healing, particularly
"quantum touch" healing.

From the mountaintops of philosophy and metaphysics the valleys and hills of our bodily needs and performance are actually not too distant. Diet and philosophy have been intertwined for as long as humankind's passage on the spiritual quest. The remarkable mathematician and philosopher Pythagoras used diet as a means of purification and continued well-being of his community of deeply philosophical followers.

The relationship of diet to our quality of mind and overall health of body is very well established now. The conventional science of nutrition has undergone radical changes and even the USDA food pyramid reflects a much more healthy approach to diet. The nature of the food we ingest relates to its energy levels, the impact it has on our tissues, metabolism and nerve system, the catalog of external toxins it may contain, the nature of its processing, the very environment it comes from. How we view our foods' source strongly contributes to our psychic and intellectual perceptions.

Our body's health and performance-in your present and long into your elder years—is extraordinarily dependent on our diet. Yet, so too is the quality of consciousness itself. Since diet is the main intake of substances that go directly to the neural chemistry of our brain, the nature of our perceptions and states of consciousness are enormously affected by diet.

Weight control is a concern for all of us. Diet, lifestyle and philosophical living are among the best approaches to weight control.
